Ingredients & Materials

Buy Albacore Tuna Now
  • 1 portion Wild Albacore Tuna (thawed if frozen)
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, smoked paprika
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Non-stick or stainless steel frying pan
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Paper towels
  • Meat thermometer (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the Wild Albacore Tuna dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Rub the tuna lightly with oil and season with salt, pepper, and optional spices like garlic powder or smoked paprika.
  3. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat until hot. Add a thin layer of oil and let it shimmer.
  4. Place the tuna in the pan. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. Tuna should have a golden crust outside but remain slightly pink in the center.
  5. Remove the tuna from the pan and let it rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley, and serve immediately.
