Ingredients & Materials

  • 1 Saku of Bluefin Tuna (approx. 8–10 oz)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Optional: lemon wedges and fresh herbs for serving
  • Baking sheet or oven-safe dish
  • Parchment paper or foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly brush with olive oil or melted butter.
  3. Pat the tuna dry and rub with oil/butter. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and optional smoked paprika.
  4. Place the tuna Saku on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 6–10 minutes depending on thickness and desired doneness.
  5. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain and serve immediately. Garnish with lemon wedges or fresh herbs if desired.
