With over 20 years experience on the wharf, owner Jason Tompkins, founded One Tuna in 2018. Inspired by a need to develop new markets and challenge existing markets, One Tuna was created to represent the interests of Canadian fishers by a Canadian buyer. We are a community first company employing local staff and proud supporters of our community sportsplex, youth sport and our local food bank.
Over the last 2 decades, we have honed our craft across the wharves of Eastern Canada. We buy, grade and personally inspected every fish we sell to ensure that every fish delivered is exactly what was ordered.
We specialize in delivering the highest quality tuna around the globe. We are Canada’s largest export of bluefin tuna and ship to 4 continents/12+ countries annually. We have global partnerships that allow us to provide our customers with tuna 12 months a year. Please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to bring you aboard.
Caught one-by-one off North Lake, Prince Edward Island, this sashimi-grade Bluefin Tuna loin delivers deep colour, buttery texture, and clean ocean flavour. Each 7 oz portion is hand-graded and inspected by the Tompkins family, who bring over 20 years of wharf side experience to every catch.
Using the One-by-One, rod and reel method, every tuna is caught sustainably - never netted - ensuring top quality and full traceability. Proudly Canadian, responsibly sourced, and harvested from the Tuna Capital of the World.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does shipping work?
We ship using insulated boxes and dry ice so your seafood arrives fresh frozen. Even if a courier is delayed, the dry ice is packed to last an extra 24+ hours. Estimated delivery dates are provided at checkout and you do not need to be home for delivery. You can request a delivery date by leaving an order note.
Where do you ship?
We deliver across most of Canada. You’ll see available delivery dates at checkout based on your postal code if we ship to your area. If you run into issues, reach out to our team at crew@larryscatch.com. You can learn more here.
Is your seafood frozen?
Yes. All of our seafood is flash-frozen right on the boat or immediately upon landing. This process locks in freshness, flavour, and nutrition, making it the next best thing to eating seafood straight from the ocean.
What happens if my box arrives thawed or damaged?
If something arrives thawed or you notice any quality issue at all, just reach out — we’ll happily replace it or refund you.
Where does your seafood come from?
We work directly with trusted Canadian fishers and processors, focusing on wild-caught, preservative free and sustainable products.
Is this a subscription?
You can choose one-time purchase or subscription (default) when adding products to your cart.
Can I customize my box?
Yes! You can build your own custom box or leave a note at checkout if you want to swap an item in a curated box.
How long can I store the seafood?
Keep it in your freezer for up to 6 months to maintain top quality. For best texture, thaw in the fridge overnight and cook within 24 hours.
