  • 1 lb Larry’s Catch Chowder Mix
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup fish or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • 4 thick slices sourdough or crusty bread
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or chives, chopped
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  • Brush bread slices lightly with olive oil and toast in a skillet or oven until golden and crisp.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add chowder mix and broth, then simmer gently for 4–6 minutes until seafood is just cooked through.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard (if using) and warm gently without boiling.
  • Season with salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
  • Spoon the creamy seafood mixture over toasted bread slices.
  • Finish with chopped herbs and a squeeze of lemon if desired, then serve immediately.
