  • 4 slices sourdough or gluten-free bread, toasted
  • 4–6 oz cold smoked wild sockeye salmon
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or chives, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Optional: thinly sliced radish or cucumber

Instructions

  1. Toast bread slices until golden and crisp.
  2. Mash avocado with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread.
  4. Top with cold smoked sockeye salmon.
  5. Add chopped herbs and optional radish or cucumber slices.
  6. Finish with freshly cracked black pepper and serve immediately.
