Sourced from the Annand Family in Ellerslie, PEI
Founded in 2013 by David and Carla Annand, Annand began as a small family operation dedicated to processing Atlantic bar clams. They soon expanded to include non-clam-based products, with a focus on their signature fish cakes. These fish cakes are crafted in small batches to preserve their natural flavor and quality, reflecting the best of Prince Edward Island’s seafood tradition. Annand remains committed to sustainability, local food culture, and delivering exceptional taste, making their fish cakes a must-try for seafood lovers.
Delight in the comforting taste of our Homestyle Cod Potato Cakes, crafted from the finest salt fish and blended with wholesome ingredients for a flavourful, pan-ready treat. These gluten-free cakes crisp to perfection on the outside while remaining moist and tender on the inside, making them an easy and delicious choice for dinner, brunch, or as a savoury snack for any gathering.
Ingredients: PEI Potatoes, Atlantic Cod, Atlantic Pollock, Onion, Egg
Note: Our fish cakes are made East Coast-style — with a mix of wild-caught fish and potato. They’re soft, savoury, and perfect for pan-frying until golden. If you’re expecting a dense, all-fish cake, these might not be for you — but if you love traditional Maritime comfort food, you’ll feel right at home.

In your product description the ingredients are listed as cod, pollock potatoes and so on.. on the package they are listed as potatoes in first place, salt in second place??? and fish comes third and fourth.. And actually they taste more like potatoes than fish. Also, four little hockey pucks are supposed to be two to three servings? I don't think so.
Very good but mostly potato
The cod cakes tasted fine, but didn’t cook well in my air fryer; they crumbled when I tried to remove them. Next time (and I expect there will be a next time) I will fry them in oil in a pan so they have a crispy coat.
They tasted ok but not sure where the cod got to
Unfortunately, I could not taste anything but potatoes. They cooked well.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does shipping work?
We ship using insulated boxes and dry ice so your seafood arrives fresh frozen. Even if a courier is delayed, the dry ice is packed to last an extra 24+ hours. Estimated delivery dates are provided at checkout and you do not need to be home for delivery. You can request a delivery date by leaving an order note.
Where do you ship?
We deliver across most of Canada. You’ll see available delivery dates at checkout based on your postal code if we ship to your area. If you run into issues, reach out to our team at crew@larryscatch.com. You can learn more here.
Is your seafood frozen?
Yes. All of our seafood is flash-frozen right on the boat or immediately upon landing. This process locks in freshness, flavour, and nutrition, making it the next best thing to eating seafood straight from the ocean.
What happens if my box arrives thawed or damaged?
If something arrives thawed or you notice any quality issue at all, just reach out — we’ll happily replace it or refund you.
Where does your seafood come from?
We work directly with trusted Canadian fishers and processors, focusing on wild-caught, preservative free and sustainable products.
Is this a subscription?
You can choose one-time purchase or subscription (default) when adding products to your cart.
Can I customize my box?
Yes! You can build your own custom box or leave a note at checkout if you want to swap an item in a curated box.
How long can I store the seafood?
Keep it in your freezer for up to 6 months to maintain top quality. For best texture, thaw in the fridge overnight and cook within 24 hours.
