Cooking Reccomendations

Thawing

  1. Overnight: Place the chowder mix in the refrigerator to thaw slowly and evenly overnight.
  2. Quick Thaw: For a faster option, keep the sealed bag of chowder mix submerged in cold water for about 30-45 minutes until thawed.

Pan-Seared with Lemon Butter

Ingredients: Butter, garlic, lemon, fresh parsley.

Method:

  • Heat a skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter and a clove of minced garlic.
  • Season the black cod with salt and pepper.
  • Sear the fillets skin-side down for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  • Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon and garnish with parsley.

Pairing: Pair with roasted potatoes and asparagus.

Black cod

The black cod is very tasty. Would I like a larger portion? Who wouldn't. The portion served two. Everything in our deluxe box for two looks great. All about pacing ourselves now, knowing the freezer is full of ocean gold.

I am sorry but I have never had Black Cod before and I am not familiar with normally what it costs per pound. We have purchased Atlantic Cod before at Costco and liked it a lot, nice white flesh! Looking forward to trying it. I was hoping to keep the cost per month down to $150.00 but that didn't happen this time...we'll see next time.

I love all the fish and shell fish from Larrys. Great service, recently I had there Black Cod. I hadn't had it for a while. Amazing fresh creamy flavour. So Good. I remember it as Sablefish, but Black Cod will do !!
